Canvas Tarps

Like most people who have a need for short/medium term shelter we have experimented with inexpensive lightweight tarps.  Of course, very quickly, when a light gust of wind arrives the eyelets get ripped out, so they are rarely useful for anything else other than very temporary shelters.

We are fortunate to know a maker here in the north east who has been making marquees | tarps | trailer covers all his life so when we gave him our specifications for something seriously strong, he produced the two useful sizes of tarp we now have in this section. 

Because they are made from super tough 14oz ripstop cotton, they are quite heavy so some thought does need to go into the construction of the framework that supports it.  We would recommend the use of c. 6-8 mm Polypropylene Rope for guys to keep the tarp taut.
