We believe the Swiss brands range of secateurs and loppers have a key part to play in traditional woodland craft when harvesting small diameter coppice material such as hazel and willow. Craft workers using willow and hazel will appreciate the toughness and reliability of their tools. In the secateurs range there is model size to fit most peoples hand size perfectly, small or large, this is important to ensure the least effort is required to cut rods cleanly and accurately.

The brand fits perfectly with WOODSMITH's philosophy to supply durable tools that will perform efficiently for a very long time, that are easy to maintain with spares easily available from the maker. At our walk-in shop in Whitley Bay we have been sharpening and servicing secateurs, including FELCO of course, for many years so we are very much looking forward to improving this service to the local community and beyond with the famous Swiss brand

Today, Swiss brand FELCO uses ultramodern robots that work alongside more conventional machines, however, to this day, there is still some hand assembly. There are multiple stages of quality control for each pair of pruning secateurs and loppers.

These tools are environmentally responsible, as FELCO uses renewable energy in production and recycles virtually all its waste. This responsible approach is in harmony with FELCO’s principle of replaceable components and demonstrates the focus on durability and longevity that have always been part of the company’s DNA.
