Forestry and Pruning Saws

The main feature of saws in this category is generally large teeth that are capable of cross cutting green, unseasoned wood that has a high moisture content.  Large teeth are able to quickly cut through fibrous wet wood without clogging.

Saws here will typically be used in the woods or in the garden to fell, cross-cut and prune trees. However, in traditional woodcraft where forestry and coppice material is used to make things, forestry saws rather that carpentry saws are preferable.
