Japanese Ryoba Double Edge Saw is a light weight and efficient Japanese pull saw with a thin blade designed to cut across or down the grain as your needs dictate.  One side for ripping cuts, the other side for cross cuts, this versatile saw can fulfill multiple cutting needs.

Produces a superb end-grain finish and a very thin kerf (saw cut).

The cutting action on this blade is on the draw-stroke cutting as the user pulls, totally the opposite to a traditional western saw.

Once familiar with the pull-only draw-stroke action they are remarkable.

The teeth on this blade can be somewhat delicate so always store in a protective sheath, or at least in the cardboard sheath provided when not being used.

Will keep its sharpness for a long time if used in clean wood and stored carefully.
