The Tormek Japanese Waterstone SJ-200 offers an unparalleled finishing touch to your tools, providing a super fine 4000 grit that imparts a mirror-like finish and razor-sharp edge. While Tormek's original grindstones effectively remove steel and offer a smooth finish, the SJ-200 takes this refinement a step further. This makes it ideal for precision tools like carving tools, knives, scissors, plane irons, and wood chisels, especially when minimal steel removal and a supreme surface finish are necessary. Due to its specialised composition for refining, it is not meant for shaping tools. Notably, the fine surface this stone provides often eliminates the need for subsequent honing on a leather wheel.

• Maintenance: The stone's surface should be cleansed of steel particles every minute or so with the fine side of the Stone Grader SP-650. Do not use the coarse side of the Stone Grader on the Japanese Waterstone.
