The Thor Rawhide Hammer has a malleable iron head with two cylindrical faces of compressed buffalo hide on a wooden shaft. Used as a general-purpose soft-faced hammer, made in the UK by the Thor Hammer Co.

The malleable iron head provides the weight for the blow and the hide faces absorb the shock whilst transferring the force to the item being struck without fear of damage. Ideal where a heavy blow is required combined with a relatively small striking area.

The faces on a Thor Rawhide Hammer are designed to wear and are easily replaced.  Spare faces are available on special order, please contact us if you'd like us to get you some.
