- Cutting Edge: The extended, curved bit rises above the head's eye. Paired with the position of the cutting edge in relation to the handle, it naturally facilitates a slicing motion.
- Long Beard: The pronounced beard of the axe allows for comfortable "choking-up" – getting closer to the axe head for finer work.
