The cutting edge is straight, but the blade features a subtle curve. Its cranked-down handles allow for usage with both bevel up and bevel down orientations. For standard greenwood tasks such as billet rounding, using the bevel-down approach in combination with the blade's gentle curve speeds up the process. For tasks like flattening the base of bowls, bevel-up is recommended. It is also excellent for peeling bark from small to medium-sized logs.
