Svante Djarv Children's Spoon Knife: Expertly Crafted Tool for Young Carvers
Introducing the Svante Djarv Children's Spoon Knife, a tool thoughtfully designed for budding young woodworkers and craftspeople. Tailored to fit comfortably in smaller hands, this spoon knife empowers children to explore the world of wood carving, allowing them to craft the bowl of spoons with precision and confidence.
Key Features:
- Scaled Handle: The ribbed handle, carved from Swedish Elm, is made specifically to fit smaller hands, ensuring a comfortable and secure grip. Its length measures 130mm (5").
- Optimal Blade Design: This spoon knife boasts the same 40mm long blade as the Standard Svante Djarv Spoon Knife. The blade is designed to perfectly carve the bowls of spoons.
- Two Versions Available: Depending on the child's hand orientation, choose between the Right-handed and Left-handed versions. Remember, the Right-handed version is designed for pulling actions by right-handers and pushing actions by left-handers and vice versa for the left-handed version.
- Ready to Carve: Delivered sharp and prepared for immediate use, young carvers can start their carving journey the moment they receive it.
About the Maker - Svante Djarv Hantverk AB:
Svante Djarv Hantverk is a family business based in Avesta, Sweden, that specialises in creating hand-forged wood carving tools. Drawing inspiration from the Swedish metal-working tradition, they've built a broad range of tools, often in collaboration with experienced woodsmiths and craftspeople. Each year, they produce about 4,000 tools and knives, ranging from carving knives to axes, and they also have a unique tool line for children. Every tool is delivered ready for use, crafted from high-quality steel and complemented with handles made from Swedish hardwoods like elm and ash. Woodsmith has had a long-standing relationship with Svante and Elsa Djarv for over a decade, and we're proud to be the UK's largest stockist of their tools.
