The Bulldog Charcoal Fork is a tough, professional quality, 9 pronged fork to get loose charcoal out of steel ring kilns.
Charcoal burners use all manner of devices to get charcoal out of steel ring kilns; including shovels, asphalt forks, sippets, clam shell buckets(!).
Whilst technically a potato fork, 9 chiseled prongs of this very strong fork are just the right distance apart. However, all the features of this British made tool make it perfect to handle charcoal. The prong distance results in a large percentage of the dust and small fines falling through making grading easier. It drives easily into charcoal without breaking it up excessively.
The dished prongs of this fork effectively produce a similar shape and effect to a shovel.
UK based Bulldog are the only company currently producing solid forged prongs; the strongest way to make a tool of this type.
The prongs and straps are made from a single piece of manganese steel, the straps are then riveted to a wooden shaft. This makes one of the strongest combinations available.
The D shaped handle is made from Grade A straight grained ash, sourced from FSC certified woodlands.
Bulldog Charcoal Fork is also a useful tool for moving wood chips and bark.
