Using the Robert Sorby ProEdge Long Grind Jig with the Fingernail Profile Kit allows for three different types of profile to be produced on bowl and spindle gouges.

Depending on which location hole the profile arm is used, it will produce:

•  standard fingernail profile

•  a long grind

•  an extra-long grind

Robert Sorby ProEdge Long Grind Jig fits onto the ProEdge Sharpening System bar to replace the original fingernail jig. It is used in exactly the same way but with the three options above.
