Robert Sorby Timber Framing Chisels 286 are a range of large, heavy duty, double-hooped beveled chisels designed to be struck with a mallet, and handle the rigours of deep heavy-duty work.
Side bevels enables under-cutting.
Three sizes available:

- 1 1/2"
- 2"
- Set of three chisels
The handle is made from strong ash and is double hooped with steel ferrules. Handle is 160mm (6 1/4") long, and overall length of 405mm (16"). The leather washer after the blades bolster is designed to absorb shock.
Available with custom-made leather edge protectors.
Comes with a factory grind of 30 degrees and will require honing before use.
