Breaking a handle is always a possibility when throwing axes therefore it's always worth keeping a spare handle.  That way there will be less down-time.

Replacing a throwing axe handle is a serious undertaking and should be undertaken with due diligence.  However, this handle is a genuine Ochsenkopf spare part with a pre-cut kerf, a hardwood wooden wedge and a steel wedge included.

Always glue the wooden wedge in place.
