The Morakniv Hook Knife 163 Double Edge is a Swedish made knife specifically designed to hollow out the bowls of spoons, with the largest radius of all of the Morakniv hook / spoon knives. An excellent complimentary tool to have in your arsenal alongside the Morakniv Hook Knife 164.
A single spoon knife that cuts both on the push and on the pull, for both right and left handed users. It has been redeveloped and substantially improved by Morakniv with advice from renowned Swedish slöjders Jogge Sundqvist and Beth Moen. The blade's design has been optimised resulting in smoother cuts over the inside of a spoon or small bowl. An area in front of the ferrule allows plenty of space for finger support.
To protect the knife from becoming accidentally blunt and causing you injury when not in use, we recommend the use of a sheath. Mora now manufactures a simple but ingeniously designed edge protection sheath. Made out of Swedish vegetable tanned leather manufactured locally with cowhides from the Mora region. You can buy this with or without the sheath included using the drop-down, or buy a replacement sheath if needed later.
