Discover the genuine replacement handle for the Carving Axe (Slöjd Axe) from renowned Swedish toolmakers, Hans Karlsson. Originally designed by the esteemed Swedish craftsman Wille Sundqvist, this handle has been refined in partnership with Woodsmith to feature a slightly slimmer profile with a more pronounced swell knob.

Crafted from straight-grained Swedish ash or elm, each handle offers the possibility for further customisation, with ample wood to modify according to your preferences.

Finished with a light coat of linseed oil, the handle measures approximately 13 1/4" (34 cm) in length. Designed primarily for Hans Karlsson axes, the section fitting through the axe head's eye measures about 38mm x 22mm at its widest points.

• 1 Steel Wedge

Note: The Hans Karlsson Slöjd Axe, when bought new, does not include a steel wedge as a well-fitted handle often negates the need for one. We include one in case you'd prefer.
