Hans Karlsson Straight Carving Gouge 150-30 is a rarely available tool.
Made by renowned Swedish wood working tool makers Hans Karlsson Klensmide AB.
The broad edge and very shallow sweep makes this a great finishing gouge, typically used on the final stages of carving a bowl to reduce tool marks.
Hans Karlsson has his own reference system to describe the sweep (curvature) of a tools edge, in this case 150 is the curve of a circle designated by the radius measured in millimetres.
Product details:
- 30 (1 3/16") is the length of the cutting edge in mm from corner to corner.
