The
Gränsfors Mortise Axe - or the Log House Corner Axe as its also known - is a specialist axe designed for hewing sills and notches in joints. The axe has a long, narrow head, making it easier to work on large logs. The shape enables you to hew a long way down into the notch, where otherwise you would have to use a chisel. With a little practice, the Mortise Axe makes the job faster and more efficient. The axe is delivered with a sheath.
