DMT DuoSharp Bench Stone with Base is a large, two-sided, two grit diamond sharpening whetstone. Comes with DMT's very stable DuoBase.

This is a neat package ideal for the workshop back home or in the woods, anywhere there is a level work surface.

Each side has a large diamond surface of 200mm (8") x 67mm (2 5/8").

GRITS

• Extra-Fine 1200 mesh (green) gives a polished and razor sharp edge.
• Fine 600 mesh (red) use to put a great edge on slightly dull knives or tools
• Coarse 325 mesh (blue) will quickly sharpen a neglected edge.
• Extra Coarse 220 mesh (black) will quickly remove metal to restore a damaged edge.

DuoBase is an extremely stable stone holding platform,  broad legs and rubber pads firmly plant the stone on the workbench. A quick release stone holding system makes changing sides easy.

DuoBase will also fit the smaller DMT Diamond Whetstones 6x2 or DMT DiaSharp Diamond Whetstone 6x2.

DMT diamond stones are precisely manufactured, highly wear resistant and will always stay flat.

Use water to lubricate to wash away the debris and always clean and dry surfaces after use.

This stone is one of our favorites, bringing the sharpening of traditional green woodworking hand tools into the 21st century.

In the last few years we have been using this larger stone for our own axes, drawknives and knives.  It's quick and convenient having two grits on one stone.  The large cutting surface is great for larger edge tools and flattening the backs of chisels and drawknives.

For pointed tools such as some carving knives, this stone has a special continuous diamond zone.
