Throwing axes and handles do get punishing treatment, especially from novice throwers so it's always worth keeping a few spare handles in case one breaks.
The Replacement Handle, Throwing Tomahawk usually come slightly oversize so may need some work to get it to sit accurately on the head. Always leave about 20mm of handle proud of the head.
To get the handle to sit reasonably well in the head you may need to remove a little wood with a Cabinet Rasp and Abranet
With taper-fit handles such as these, if the tomahawk lands handle first it should just come loose and be less likely to break. However if it does break, it's worth having a few spares so you can resume throwing again quickly.
