Ashley Iles Spindle Gouge 9mm (3/8") is a classic turning tool. The handle length is appropriate for pole lathe use.

The main function of a spindle gouge is to create coves and hollows in turned work.  It's an easy and forgiving tool to use.

Overall length is 390mm (15 1/4") including a 230mm (9") beech handle.

Made from 9mm (3/8") dia. round bar, high carbon steel.
