The Ashley Iles Beading and Parting Tool 9mm is a turning tool traditionally used for parting-off finished work from the waste.

However, used in conjunction with a Robert Sorby SIZING TOOL can produce accurate tenons on seasoned wood.

The surface of the wood will be quite rough but this helps glue to bond.

Particularly useful for sizing tenons on stool and chair turned components such as legs, stretchers and back sticks.

• Ashley Iles BEADING AND PARTING TOOL is made from high carbon steel 9mm (3/8") square section stock.

• Total length 420mm (16 1/2") including 230mm (9") beech handle.

• The bevels are hollow ground to 50 degrees and will need a final hone before use.
