About Ash and Iron:
Adam Ashworth is the talented maker behind Ash and Iron, a company born out of his lifelong passion for creating things with his hands. From a young age, Adam was captivated by the art of making, which later evolved into a deep appreciation for green woodworking and tools.
During his university years, Adam balanced his academic workload with his love for green woodwork. As he contemplated his future, he realised that working with his hands was far more enticing than a conventional office job. With the guidance and support of friends who introduced him to the basics of forging and knife making, Adam decided to pursue knife making full time after completing his degree.
Through Ash and Iron, he continues to channel his passion and skill into creating exceptional handmade tools, honouring the traditions of green woodworking and knife making. We're so excited to be stocking some of his wonderful knife blades at Woodsmith.
