Hermes is a German company specialising in making abrasive products for most industries.

We supply just one of their products - Self Adhesive Abrasive Film on a 2.5meter roll. Rolls are available in five useful grits from 360g upto 2500g

Just one basic product but our friends at Woodwright Design, use it in their Sharpening Set, which we stock here at Woodsmith, providing a set of  acrylic plates to give a very practical and useable sharpening system.

Hermes Self Adhesive Abrasive Film was not originally designed as a sharpening abrasive but fantastic at the job due to the very consistent grain structure.

Being paper based it very flexible, use it flat or wrap it around a dowl to sharpen in-cannel gouges or the inside of spoon knives
